    Responsible for the following:

    • Achieve the salon weekly, monthly & annual targets
    • Work with stylists & colourists to achieve their personal objectives & targets
    • Provide appropriate incentives for staff
    • Ensure maximum efficiency in relation to time off, holidays, sickness and materials used
    • Set & review weekly/monthly objectives for staff
    • Monitor, assess and develop the hairdressing skills and service standards of all staff
    • Conduct staff reviews & appraisals on a regular basis
    • Hold regular staff meetings
    • Interview & recruit new team members
    • Handle staff disciplinary & grievance matters in accordance with the salons policy & procedure
    • Handle client complaints in accordance with the salon’s complaints procedure
    • Liaise with manufacturers on a regular basis with regards to purchase of stock, new product launches & product promotions
    • Oversee the use of social media, SMS & email to promote the salons services
    • Oversee the efficient running of reception & the salon
    • Effective stock control, usage & re-ordering
    • Liaise regularly with salon owner on all matters relating to the salon business, staff & clients


    • To organise & attend internal & external training sessions when required
    • To organise regular staff training sessions
    • Take responsibility for on-going staff development & career promotion
    • To keep abreast of new products, techniques, services & promotions
    • To keep up to date with legal requirements relating to Employment, Data Protection & Health & Safety


    • Ensure staff advise clients of all services and products available
    • Ensure that client data is kept secure & up to date
    • Ensure appropriate staff are aware of & adhere to reception procedure & policies
    • Ensure staff are aware of company systems and procedures and individual contracts of employment
    • Ensure all rules and regulations are adhered to particularly in respect of Health and Safety
    • Ensure all company information is kept strictly confidential
    • Carry out procedures with regards to salon security

    Business Development 

    • Ensure procedures are in place to attract new clients & retain existing clients
    • Devise & employ strategies for encouraging lapsed clients to return
    • Monitor & maintain rebook levels
    • Oversee on-going salon marketing & promotion
    • Updating social media & website content
    • Organise & run salon events & promotions


    • Ensure personal appearance of self & staff reflects the salon brand is in keeping with the required standards of dress code, hair & make-up
    • Ensure that salon appearance, cleanliness and hygiene is maintained at all times
