Guy Christian

Profile: Guy Christian started his hairdressing career in September 1994 with the Andrew Price Group, West Wales. He specialized as a colour technician for 4 years before taking up the scissors and qualifying as a Stylist, quickly rising to the position of Master Designer. Whilst Franchising the Llanelli branch for four years he was also involved in styling for various photo shoots, fashion shows and undertaking demonstration work for Wella.

Moving to Amsterdam, he worked in Holland’s premier salon Rob Peetoom, catering to the Dutch celebrity clientele. Upon returning to Wales and moving to Cardiff he opened the Guy Christian Salon on November 2nd 2007. Since the opening, the salon has been involved in fashion shows, local media photo shoots and editorials, in house photo shoots and Charity events.

Jay Parsons

Profile: Now into his third year at Guy Christian Salon, Jay has been newly promoted to Artistic Director and taken on a managerial role within the team. With sixteen years experience in the industry and training from major academies in London Jay has a continued interest in learning and developing new techniques to stay ahead of the game.

Hailing from Cardiff itself, Jay qualified in 1998. Over the next eight years he undertook various training courses in London with major industry names including Wella, Sebastian and Toni & Guy. He previously managed two other salons working with the likes of Matrix and gaining further colour knowledge from their artistic team – including Terry Longden from ‘The Salon’ TV program. Jay has attended many shows over his career which has inspired him artistically.

Daniell Tarr

Profile: Danielle joined the Guy Christian team in 2010, stepping in at Master Designer level. Training at Vidal Sasson for 4 years means that Danielle has a wealth of knowledge plus 9 year experience on the salon floor, working at various bayside and Cardiff city centre salons. Strengths in styling make Danielle a truly creative hairdresser. Danielle is currently working towards a qualification in hair extensions and is always on the lookout for models to increase her personal portfolio and expand on the creative work offered at Guy Christian

Kayleigh Griffiths

Profile: Kayleigh is our resident Senior Colour Technician also specialising in wedding & evening hair. Since joining Guy Christian Salon, Kayleigh has been promoted to the role of Senior Colour Technician and is the head of the colour department as well as being responsible for all colour training.

After eight months of intensive training, Kayleigh was awarded the prestigious title of Master Colour Expert by Wella UK. The Master Colour Award takes the concept of colour knowledge to the highest level. This achievement is held in high regard in the industry as only a select few have been welcomed into this elite club.

Andrea Webb

Profile: Andrea’s passion for working with hair started at an early age as she began with a Saturday job in a well established Cardiff salon. A year later Andrea enrolled in Glan Hafren College and qualified in both NVQ levels 1 & 2 before going on to work in a city salon while achieving level 3.

Andrea is ambitious and continues to progress in the industry bettering her skills by attending various courses. Her list of qualifications is vast with Sebastian cutting, barbering, Indian head massage, advanced cutting, Wella colour and ‘Great Lengths’ hair extensions to name a few.

With 13 years experience Andrea has exercised a number of salon roles achieving the status of Colour Technician, Senior Director and Assistant Manager at previous salons. Andreas’ creative flare is strong and she will be developing this further in the future with session work for the photography studio.

Aysha Rees

Profile: Aysha qualified in 2001 after completing her training in Cardiff. Specialising in colour for 2 years she completed several colour awards before turning her attention to cutting. She has worked in several city centre salons gaining a strong reputation and a devoted clientele.

With a keen eye for style and design, she’s a formidable hairdresser.

Vicky Sheridan

Profile: Vikky Sheridan began hairdressing in 2002 completing qualifications in hairdressing and barbering within 2 ½ years. Once completed, she was straight onto the salon floor building a full list of regular clients in and around Ebbw Vale.

Vicky has taken part in several competitions and has found herself chosen as a finalist for the ‘Creative Awards’ with Clynol, winner of an inter salon colour competition in London and a finalist for ‘Young Hairdresser of the Year’ award 2008.

A recent interest photographic session work has lead to pictured work with The Ask Academy in London. It was this that gave her the inspiration to move to the City and begin working at Guy Christian.

Brandon Messinger

Profile: Brandon started his hairdressing career working in John Frieda’s Mayfair Salon. After 2 years he moved to Nicky Clarke where he received personal training from Nicky himself.

Upon completion of his training he then moved to central London salon, Attitude. Whilst there he built up a strong clientele and did hair for the BAFTA’s. In 2010 Brandon entered the Redken 2010 NYC hair awards and was whittled down as a finalist.

Brandon has since moved to Cardiff where he joined the Guy Christian team and is looking forward to a successful future.

Abi Anderson

Profile: Abi joined Guy Christian Salon in 2010 as an assistant and through dedication and talent, qualified in December 2011 as Colour Technician. With plans to take the acclaimed Wella MCE qualification soon, she’s a rising star to watch!

Chelsie Preece

Profile: Chelsies’ potential talent shines through every time she picks up a brush. Now in her 2nd year training, she’ll be fully qualified in no time. Meanwhile, she’s the best blow-dryer in town and can be booked for bouncy blow-dries for that special night out.

She’s always looking for models for our training session, so get in touch. Our training sessions are held every Tuesday Morning.

Monique McSorley

Profile: Now in her 2nd year training, Monique is showing some serious potential with a good all round grounding in all areas and a real flare for blow-drying.
